Every ministry has them and they have the power to make or break the ministry, but most people don’t even know what they are. Critical Success Factors (CSFs) are those few essential elements that must go right in order to ensure the organization’s survival and success. The biggest problem with CSF’s is that most people in a ministry don’t know what they are and thus don’t focus on them.
Here are LeaderTreks we have five CSFs and we are always focused on them. They are…
1. Well-trained, transformational staff
2. Partnership with youth workers
3. Transformational content
4. Efficient operations
5. Strong leadership
At the beginning of each year we create goals for each one of these CSFs and we put action steps to those goals. This ensures that we are accomplishing our mission. If you don’t know your CSF’s pull your team together and start talking about the elements that make or break your ministry.
