Recently I was on a mission trip with students and I noticed the difference it makes when I model spiritual disciplines and service. When we are with students and they are actively practicing spiritual disciplines like Bible study it’s so important to do our Bible study right in front of them. Let them see you working through scripture and writing in your prayer journal, this way they will understand how important it is to you. When students are working on a service project work with them. Model hard work and perseverance; this will help them understand that leadership means active participation. We have a choice everyday; will we talk about leadership and its importance or will we act it out so students can get it?
