I love to play tennis. The thing I love about tennis is you’re never out of the game. The game doesn’t end by a clock but by one person winning a required amount of games to conclude the match.  As long as the match is going you can win. So tennis becomes a mental game. You have to convince yourself that you are “in it to win it” because at any point you can turn it around and win the match.  Leadership is much the same. As leaders we must be constantly remember that strong leadership will win the day with our followers. Too often I meet beaten down leaders who have abandoned their leadership position. They have given up due to a wound; someone hurt them by their actions or words. I understand that obstacles come in our leadership and people do mean things to each other, especially in church settings. Don’t lose heart, remember the Lord fights with you. You are called by God to lead, so lead. Be humble and obedient and allow God to work through you. When we are weak He is strong.
