I am reminded about the importance of allowing your leaders to lead within their strengths. So often, we want our leaders to do it the way we did it. Thinking that if they are just like us the results will be the same. There are two problems with this thinking.

1. They are not the same as us and they have different strengths, gifts and abilities. We must allow them to do the job within their giftedness for them to have satisfaction and joy. When our leaders fulfill the mission using their gifts, God has room to do incredible things and our leaders will see his power through them.

2. God doesn’t want the same results. Remember God is using the process of leadership to grow his kids. He may want to teach your leaders something new that will prepare them for a mission he has for them later in life. We must understand that results are up to God, what we think is a win may not be what he is thinking. Give God room to work.
I often struggle with this but I am trying to learn the power of releasing my leaders.
