Youth workers and sr. pastors don’t talk much and I get the feeling youth workers are waiting for the sr. pastor to make the first move. He is older and wiser and he should seek you out and mentor you, but let’s be honest: he is busy and has a lot on his plate. You need to chase after him; a relationship with your sr. pastor is worth its weight in gold. Offer to meet whenever, tell him how important it is to you and let him know how much you respect him. When he sees how important it is to you he may come to understand how important it is to the church.
